This tutorial will show you how to Download, Install and walk you through Activating your Sure Cuts A Lot program. Before you do this tutorial you need to have purchased Sure Cuts A Lot and received your email that shows your serial number for activating the program. If you have not done this yet please do this first.

Step 1: Go to http://craftedge.com Click on Downloads in the top menu.
Step 2: (this tutorial is for Windows Users. I do not know if there is a difference with downloading and installing a program with a Mac). Click the top Download link in the list. This should be at the end of the line that shows the latest Windows version of Sure Cuts A Lot 2
Step 3: A window should pop up asking you if you would like to save the file. Choose Save File
Step 4: This will add an icon to your desktop ( or where ever you have your computer set up to save files to. Some are set up to save to your My Documents folder so if you don’t see it on your Desktop check there or in your Downloads folder).
Step 5: Click (or double click depending on your computer settings) the icon. A window will pop up asking you to run the software. Click Run.
Depending on your anti-virus software you may have a pop up about here that asks you to allow this program to run. Choose Allow.
Step 6: Now you will be asked to install it choose Next.
Step 7: Check I Accept The Agreement and then click Next.
Step 8: Click Next.
Step 9: The software now wants to know where you want to put it on your computer. Leave this to what it is defaulted to. Should be your Program Files. 99.99% of the time you will NEVER have to change this. Best to leave it as its set in default. Then click Next.
Step 10: Check the box ( if its not already) that askes to Create A Desktop Icon ( you can delete this later) and then choose Next.
Step 11: Click Install.
Step 12: Should look something like this depending on your computer when its installing. Just let it go till it shows the next screen.
Step 13: If you want to start the program right away check the Launch Sure Cuts A Lot box. If you want to wait just uncheck that box and start the program at a later time. Now click Finish.
Step 14: On your Desktop you should find an icon like this. You can delete this at anytime as its also listed on your programs list when you go to Start and then All Programs and then Craftedge. Double click to open program and you are set to go!
Activate Sure Cuts A Lot
Ok I do not have images of how to activate the program because I have already activated mine but its not hard. Once you open the program you will have a pop up screen that comes up asking you to Activate it or contiune with trial. You want to Activate it. Now go to that email that has your serial number and type in the EXACT name you used to purchase the program and the EXACT serial number they provided ( copy and paste is a good idea here). Then click Ok or Continue ( not sure what they ask) and it should activate your software and you are set to go. Next:
Once you have it activated close the program. Turn off your computer and your Cricut. Plug in your USB cord (its like the one you use to hook up your scanner or printer)to your Cricut and your computer. Turn your Cricut on and then turn your computer on. If not previously hooked up it will probably ask you to install drivers for your USB cord. Windows should do this automatically. Also depending on the age of your Cricut you may have to update its firmware by downloading and installing the Design Studio software from http://cricut.com (I am working on a photo tutorial of all of this but till then there are many helpful tutorials at http://svgcuts.com Just click SCAL 101 at the stop and you should be set.
